India
E-visa required (e-Tourist)- Check your passport. Valid at least 6 months.
- Apply online before you fly. US$25 for 30 days (US$10 April to June), US$40 for 1 year, US$80 for 5 years, plus a 3% bank charge. Pay at least 4 days before travel. Apply 2 to 4 weeks ahead. Apply on indianvisaonline.gov.in (official) ›
- Know your stay. 30 days (or 1 or 5 years, multiple entry).
- Make sure the status shows GRANTED before you fly, and carry a copy.
- Yellow fever card required if you arrive within 6 days of leaving a yellow-fever country.
- Many fake sites sell India e-visas. Use only indianvisaonline.gov.in.
